What is coaching?
The process of equipping people with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities they need to fully develop themselves to be effective in their commitment to themselves, the company, and their work. True coaching improves employee and organizational resiliency and effectiveness in change.
What is a health coach?
A Health Coach is a wellness professional whose main goal is to guide clients to reach their health and wellness goals, whether that’s better sleep, boosting energy, weight loss, stress management, reduced anxiety, lower caffeine and sugar consumption, and so much more. Health Coaches create a safe space for their clients to explore their health, facilitating behavior and lifestyle change that can be sustained for the long-term.
What is health coaching?
Health coaching is the use of evidence based skillful conversation, clinical interventions, and strategies, to actively engage clients in health behavior change.
What is mindfulness?
The quality or state of being conscious or aware of something. A mental state achieved by focusing ones awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting ones feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations used as a therapeutic technique.
What is wellness?
The act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better physical and mental outcomes so that instead of just surviving, you are thriving.
What is the difference between health and wellness?
Health is a state of being, while wellness is a state of living a healthy lifestyle. Health refers to physical, mental, and social wellbeing. Wellness aims to enhance wellbeing.
What does the coaching process look like?
The coaching relationship is built around the goals and overall vision of the client. We start by having a session to establish the ideal vision they have for themselves in the area they want coaching. The coach may provide additional resources, assessments, or other tools to assist the client in their journey.
What are the reasons for coaching?
An individual or team may to choose to work with a coach for many reasons. In most cases it is to improve some area of their life or performance. Some examples:
- To improve leadership skills
- Get started off on the right path after a promotion
- Skill improvement to be more competitive for a promotion.
- To fill a gaps in skills or knowledge
- To improve their performance
- Assist in decision-making with a career change
- Assist in the transition to a new area or job
Who participates in your programs?
We work with a variety of groups ranging from individuals who are beginning to assume leadership roles to those who have held them over many years. However, our programs are for everyone, no matter the title or position within the company. Our team engages individuals on a personal level, creating an environment where barriers can be eliminated, and acting as a catalyst for personal development.
Can you provide some examples of topics that you address in leadership programs?
We provide comprehensive training for topics such as communications, supervision, teamwork, building teams, trust, emotional intelligence, accountability, time management, critical thinking, transition management, performance reviews, and difficult conversations.
How do I know that we need a leadership development program?
Our clients often request leadership development programs when they promote employees into supervisory positions, when their businesses are growing, or when they want to be even more successful at what they do. Another opportunity to implement a leadership development program is when individuals or teams do not align with the cultural vision of the company.
Will I get the same program as my competitor?
Each program is tailored to the needs of the people we serve. We maintain the information that our clients share with us under the strictest standards of confidentiality, with contract language that puts all parties at ease.
What geographic area does SLI serve?
Although we are based in Orlando Florida, we serve clients across the United States, and are also capable of servicing additional areas throughout the world.
Who do you serve?
SLI prides itself on providing comprehensive resources for a variety of individuals and organizations. We have helped countless individuals, as well as billion-dollar clients. Our philosophy is that everyone is our highest priority, regardless of size and contract amount.
Do you work on retainers?
Some clients prefer monthly retainers of an amount dependent of the frequency and type of service required. Other clients prefer to pay for services as requested. It is entirely up to the client to determine what they feel comfortable with.
How much are your service/rates?
SLI offers competitive rates for all our services. The rate will depend on the amount of work needed, as well as the complexity of the project. We can provide support and budgets that will fit into any organization and will help improve efficiency and overall morale. Please contact us for more details.
What if we have an emergency, how soon can SLI be here?
Our team will respond to any client emergency immediately. We can provide both in-person and remote support that will ensure proper guidance to you and your team.
What if I need training or services off normal work hours?
The SLI team is available to assist our clients at any time, even after normal working hours, weekends, and holidays.
What qualifications do you have as a Safety and Leadership expert?
Our team of leaders is accredited through third-party regulators and are at the top of our field with Safety credentials. Our team has certifications through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, including CHST, ASP, and CSP credentials. Additionally, our staff are certified through Ken Blanchard and Personality Insights to provide curriculum for leadership that is certified and validated.
